Lydgate Infant School

Year 6

A huge welcome to our blog...

The Year 6 team is made up of Steven, Basil and Ruth in Garnet Class with Siobhan and Rachel in Opal Class. Throughout the week the children will have the opportunity to work across classes and be taught by all of the Year 6 team. We are also lucky enough to have a number of other staff members who will be supporting the learning and covering planning time.

We are all looking forward to the stimulating learning opportunities that Year 6 will bring: engaging lessons, fantastic new topics and fabulous trips! We will start the year by learning all about the Second World War and its impact on the local area. Year 6 also attend an exciting annual residential trip to Hindleap Warren in early November!

We can’t wait to share photographs, commentaries and up-to-date news in our year group blog and to working in partnership with you, to make your child’s time in Year 6 a very happy one.
