Four children from Years 3 and 4 have recently been working on a local history project alongside teachers at school. Adam, Lily I, Anand and Jess decided to focus on World War II and the impact the war had on Wandsworth, including how it still affects the borough today.
This project took place as part of a borough-wide competition (GLL Heritage Awards for Schools competition) and the winning school will be awarded £1000! The children worked very hard both at school and at home where research and write-ups had to be done. Below is a photograph of Lily interviewing a local evacuee, Anne, from World War II that formed part of their project!
