The challenge for the 2018 Science Week competition was to find out about famous scientists from all over the world. The knowledgeable winners were invited to a tea party and given a further challenge - to make a parachute that would safely land an egg from a height of 3 metres. The two teams used their knowledge of materials, forces and aerodynamics to design their prototypes. The chocolate eggs landed safely but the real eggs suffered crash landings!
