Last week we took 16 Key Stage 2 children to the University of Roehampton to take part in a range of activities designed to broaden the children's knowledge of how to make the most of the outdoors and where food comes from.
Here are a few photos of the different activities the children took part in. The different activities included: making fire, chopping wood (with an axe!), clearing out an allotment and planting new seeds, apple pressing to create their own juice and feeding chickens!

The initiative is run by a non-profit programme at the University of Roehampton called Growhampton. We have been working with them on different initiatives for some time now and are very excited to continue working with them in September!
